Floating Stuff

I'm just blogging today to write about stuff that is floating around in my head.

Isaiah's 1st Birthday is this Saturday! I truly cannot fathom how quickly this year has gone by! We are throwing him a party this Saturday & I'm really excited about it! Family & friends will be there to celebrate with us. It's going to be so special! I'll make sure to take lots of pics (actually, I'll have someone - or multiple someones - take pics, so I can enjoy the party & Isaiah!), & will be sure to post them on here. :)

This weekend is also Father's Day weekend & I am so so thankful for the father Ricky is to our little boy. He is such a sweet, loving dad! Isaiah has recently begun hugging & kissing (we call it love) & he LOVES to love his daddy! It is the sweetest thing I've ever seen! :D He gives the best love! I'll try to get a pic (or video) of it. He is such a lovey dovey baby! He also loves to laugh, which ALWAYS brightens the room! I'm so so thankful to God, my Father, for blessing me with such a special little boy! We have quite a few dad's to go see this weekend (3 total). My daddy :D, my stepdad, & Ricky's dad. Somehow we usually get around to everyone within 1-2 days, lol. It's always so hard dividing our time among our family since we love all of them so much. When we are with family, I wish time would stand still so we could get more time with each one. I have to confess, I usually feel guilty for having to ration our time with them. It never seems to be enough. Especially now that Isaiah is here. They all love to spend time with him!!

Ricky & I are wanting to sell our house. We want to move closer to our family. We are trying to sell it ourselves, so that will be a challenge. We're praying for a buyer & of course, God's will & timing. In the meantime, we are still going to improve it until does sell. Today, we got a brand new roof. We've been wrestling with our insurance company for about 1 & 1/2 months. We're so glad it's finally being done! :) We are going to call a few tree companies to see how much it will cost to take down 11 Pines that are close to the house. When storms come thru, limbs are falling onto the roof & really, they are just plain messy. One good storm, & a tree could end up on our house! Ahh! I think it will look so much better once they are gone. :) We want to plant some other trees once these are gone. Maybe some Dogwoods. We also want to take out the bushes in front of the house - two of which are dead - & plant something that will look better. :) Also - a small flowerbed around the mailbox will be nice as well! There are also some Azalea bushes in front of our porch that really aren't doing too well, so we may replace those. We'll see how they do once they get more sun when the Pines are gone. Then, if our house still hasn't sold, we are going to save up money to put in hardwoods. Oh & my dad said he would help us build a new pack porch - bigger than the one now. That'll be nice! (That's not necessary, but if we're going to be there for a little while, we'd like a bigger porch. :) ) We'd also love to update the kitchen! Deeper sink, corian countertops, tile floors/backsplash. We are already planning on painting the cabinets white. They are a medium brown oak right now, which I'm not a fan of. So... looks like if someone doesn't want to buy our house, we have a lot to keep us busy, haha. :) We might even change the color on the outside. Or, just get new siding. We'll see. :)

Well... I've written quite a bit... I'm going to go relax & watch some t.v. while Isaiah finishes his nap. :)
